Authentic, New, Unissued East German Volunteers Badge of Honour

The Badge of Honour was instituted in 1975 by the East German military, the NVA, to salute civilian aide to the NVA. There were three categories of help defined:

socialist military education
military-political propaganda and agitation work
securing young talent for military professions and in reservist work

Pin depicting the AK 47  as a symbol of Socialist strength, and revolutionary vigour.
